Puzzles and memories

Do you have those friends, that you might not have seen for 10 months, but when you see each other it's like time skipped just one beat and you're right back where you were almost a year ago? I had that night tonight. I have two friends who are dating, Kerri and Andy, and got to spend the day with them. I used to live with Kerri and we met Andy. He was the neighbor across the ally from the first house I lived in in Denver. He was from Iowa, so obviously we all became immediate friends.

I treasure my friendships like these. We haven't stayed in contact like I'm sure we all wish we would have, but tonight we laughed, did puzzles, told stories, talked about Iowa football (duh), sat on a patio in wonderful, sunny Denver and ate Illegal Pete's (think Chipotle....then make it 100x better), and went thrift store shopping.

We laughed like we had never been apart. We talked about life, and some of the changes we all had coming up. I know that no matter where life takes me, I will always be able to come back to see Kerri and Andy, and it will feel like home.
